Mood: Rethinking my life
Blossom End
Well, we use words to communicate, right? Still, most of our words don't actually get across. You know what I mean? Well, our words might, but not what we're actually trying to say. That's what we're always dealing with. We live in this place, in this world, where we can share our words but not our thoughts.
We must learn to love, learn to be kind, and this from the earliest youth; if education or chance given us no oppurtunity to practice these feelings, our soul becomes dry and unsuited even to understanding the tender inventions of loving people. Likewise, hatred must be learned and nurtured, if one wishes to become a proficient hater: otherwise the germ for that, too, will gradually wither.
I want to love and be loved. I want to find a way where I don't hurt myself. I want to live a life where I say things are good more than things are bad. I want to keep failing and discovering new and better directions. I want to enjoy the tides of feeling in me as the rhythms of life. I want to be the kind of person who can walk inside the vast darkness and find the fragment of sunlight I can linger in for a long time. Some day, I will.
